Arsenal is set to finalize the signings of at least three new players this week as manager Mikel Arteta continues strengthening the team ahead of the new season.
The club reached an agreement late Sunday to secure striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.
The Swedish forward will join for an initial transfer fee of approximately £55 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total to around £63.6 million.
Gyökeres, who previously had a stint with Brighton, has settled on personal terms for a five-year contract and is expected to complete his medical in the coming days.
In addition to that deal, Arsenal is aiming to finalize the transfer of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke shortly.
Madueke has already undergone medical examinations, following an agreement between both London clubs on a deal worth £48 million plus £4 million in add-ons.
Talks are also progressing with Valencia for defender Christian Mosquera, and an agreement on the fee is reportedly close.
