After leaving Fluminense, former Chelsea defender Thiago Silva’s next planned destination was made public.

Silva’s obvious goal, according to Fabrizio Romano, is to relocate to Europe as a free agent before considering any other options in the Middle East or Major League Soccer.

Europe is currently the top priority for the 41-year-old Brazilian, who wants to spend more time with his family.

Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Silva is excited to start a new chapter as a free agent.

Beginning in January, the seasoned center back will be available.

Silva has formerly represented teams including Dynamo Moscow, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan.

When the January transfer market opens, it’s unclear if Silva will sign with a major European team.
