Chelsea have rejected a loan proposal from Bayern Munich for forward Christopher Nkunku.
As reported by Sky Sports, the West London club are only open to a permanent transfer for the French attacker during the current transfer window.
Nkunku is reportedly not in new head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans for the season.
The 27-year-old was notably absent from the squad that played out a goalless draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
Interest in Nkunku has been growing, with several clubs including Bayern showing intent to secure his services this summer.
Despite his Bundesliga experience, Chelsea have opted not to sanction a temporary move to the German champions.
Nkunku previously enjoyed a prolific spell at RB Leipzig, where he scored 33 goals in 34 league appearances before sealing his move to Stamford Bridge.
