The next club for departing Real Madrid star Luka Modric has been unveiled.

The Croatian midfielder is reportedly set to join US Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, where football legend Lionel Messi plays.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Modric will sign with Inter Miami as a free agent to team up with the Argentine icon.

Modric has already confirmed his decision to leave Los Blancos at the season’s end.

Recent reports revealed that Messi had personally requested Inter Miami to sign Modric, increasing the chances of the two joining forces in the MLS.

The pair were rivals in LaLiga, with Messi at Barcelona and Modric representing Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Messi’s future in MLS remains uncertain. Since joining Inter Miami in summer 2023, his contract is set to expire this summer.

Currently, Inter Miami sits sixth in the Eastern Conference standings with 22 points, seven points behind league leaders Philadelphia.
