Manchester United are reportedly considering alternative targets, Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace or Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth, if they are unable to secure Brentford’s Bryan Mbuemo this transfer window.
ESPN reports that the Red Devils have shown strong interest in Mbuemo during the summer transfer period.
However, Manchester United’s initial offer for the Cameroon international has already been turned down.
It remains uncertain whether the club will continue pursuing the 25-year-old striker to join their ranks at Old Trafford.
The club aims to bolster manager Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Last season, Amorim’s team finished in the lower half of the Premier League table.
They have recently acquired Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are expected to make additional signings soon.
