Napoli have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho or Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi before the January transfer window deadline.

The Serie A club view both players as potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain.

As quoted in The Standard, Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna said: “Karim Adeyemi and Alejandro Garnacho are two names that interest us, that we like. They are not the only ones, we will try to evaluate the opportunities.

“We will certainly not pay off-market prices. Kvara [Kvaratskhelia] must be replaced.

“We are not holding back. We also have other ideas, let’s see what happens in the next few days.”

In a different development, Chelsea finalized the acquisition of San Diego Wave’s Naomi Girma on Sunday.

The defender became the first $1 million women’s player in history thanks to Chelsea Women.

When Racheal Kundananji transferred from Madrid CFF to Bay FC, the two teams reached an agreement of about $1.1 million, shattering the previous record of $860,000.
