Wilfred Ndidi has shed light on his decision to sign with Turkish Super Lig side, Besiktas.
The Nigerian midfielder officially joined the Istanbul-based club on a three-year deal last Friday.
Despite attracting interest from several top European teams, Ndidi ultimately chose to continue his career with the Turkish giants.
The 28-year-old explained that his move was motivated by a desire for a fresh experience.
“Beşiktaş are one of the biggest teams in the country. I wanted to be here because I want to see a new environment, new people and a new league,” he said in an interview with Besiktas TV.
Ndidi spent eight and a half years with Leicester City before bringing his time at the King Power Stadium to an end.
