Real Madrid have reportedly granted two key requests made by head coach Xabi Alonso during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to Madrid Zone, citing Cadena SER, Alonso has made it clear to the club’s management that he wants Dani Ceballos to remain part of the squad beyond the current window.
Additionally, the report states that Alonso has requested that no midfielder be sold this summer—a condition the club has agreed to honor.
Ceballos has recently been the subject of transfer speculation, with reports linking him to a possible return to Real Betis in La Liga.
This development follows the recent departure of veteran midfielder Luka Modric, who left Real Madrid earlier this month.
As Alonso looks to bolster the team ahead of the 2025/26 LaLiga season, especially after their recent Club World Cup exit to Paris Saint-Germain, keeping depth in midfield appears to be a top priority.
