A former Chelsea midfielder, Geremi Njitap, has expressed that he believes Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to feature in the Premier League again.
Ronaldo, who had two separate spells at Manchester United, enjoyed immense success with the club—winning league titles, Champions League trophies, and multiple Ballon d’Or awards.
His return to Old Trafford in his later years, however, ended with a terminated contract, after which he made the move to the Saudi Pro League to join Al-Nassr.
Now 40, the Portuguese forward continues to perform at a high level and recently added the UEFA Nations League to his list of accomplishments with the national team.
With his contract at Al-Nassr nearing its end, speculation has emerged regarding his next move, with some reports suggesting a potential comeback to English football.
But Geremi told BoyleSports: “The Premier League is too demanding, he is 40 years old and it wouldn’t be the same as doing it once in a while in international games.
“I think he’s going into his last year in football and I can’t see him spending that in the Premier League, it’s too competitive and a lot more demanding than he has been used to in the last two years.”
