Winger Facundo Pellistri of Manchester United has permanently transferred to Panathinaikos of the Greek Super League, leaving Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Prior to their Premier League matchup with Brighton this weekend, the Red Devils made this announcement via a statement on their website.

“Everyone at the club would like to wish Facundo the very best of luck with his new club, and thank him for his efforts here,” Man United’s statement partly read.

Pellistri made his debut for Man United under manager Erik ten Hag in the 2022–2023 season during the team’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal victory over Charlton Athletic.

The Uruguayan international also got the start against Bayern Munich in the Champions League the previous year.

The 22-year-old previously spent time on loan at the Spanish team Granada.
