Zinox Group Chairman Dr Leo Stan Ekeh has set an ambitious target to empower 10,000 women in technology over the next five years. This initiative aims to bridge the gender gap and enable women to play more active roles in the digital economy.
Through its subsidiary TD Africa, led by Mrs Chioma Ekeh, the Group has already made significant progress in developing tech talent in sub-Saharan Africa. Recently, approximately 400 female “techsters” graduated from TD Africa’s TecHerdermy programme, marking a significant milestone in this mission.
Dr. Ekeh’s vision is supported by global statistics, which show that companies with gender-diverse executive teams are 25% more likely to experience above-average profitability. He emphasised the importance of technology in driving transformation, stating, “Compete through exceptional content to realise the Nigeria of your dreams.
The Zinox Group’s commitment to talent development has created a ripple effect throughout Africa’s tech ecosystem, with former employees now leading multinational corporations. Dr Ekeh’s advice to entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts emphasises investing in research, human capital development, and spiritual content.
By building what he envisions as “the biggest tech solution company in Africa”, Dr Ekeh aims to transform the narrative around African technology from consumption to creation. With the African tech market projected to reach $712 billion, Dr Ekeh’s focus on female tech professionals appears both visionary and strategically sound.
