While praising fellow populist Nigel Farage’s election to the British parliament, former US President Donald Trump failed to recognise Keir Starmer, who has taken over as Prime Minister.
With its opposition to immigration, Farage’s Reform UK party received the third-highest number of votes.
Nevertheless, it only managed to secure four seats under the British election system, as Starmer’s Labour Party easily won a landslide victory.
“Congratulations to Nigel Farage on his big WIN of a Parliament Seat Amid Reform UK Election Success. Nigel is a man who truly loves his Country!” Trump wrote on Truth Social platform.
As a steadfast supporter of Brexit who was elected to parliament on his eighth try, Farage is a close ally of President Trump.
He was open about his ambition to unseat the current front-runner Conservative Party, which Labour was crushing in the polls.
