The council concluded that there was no sexual harassment, aligning with the police investigation’s findings. They determined that the audio recording was used to blackmail Fasina into confirming Adebayo as substantive Director of Works and Services, a decision he had no authority to make.
Adebayo is to write a letter of apology to the council within seven days for bringing the university’s name into disrepute. The council expressed concern over Adebayo’s backdated promotion and directed the management to review this decision.
The council announced that the positions for substantive Director of Physical Planning and Director of Works and Services will be advertised. This decision follows a thorough investigation into the allegations, which were pushed for investigation by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, FUOYE chapter.
