Two members of the House of Representatives have switched to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Today, Hon. Adamu Tanko, who represents the Gurara/Suleja/Tafa Federal Constituency in Niger State, and Hon. Jallo Hussaini Mohammed, who represents the Igabi Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, announced their defection to the APC.

This morning, the Speaker of the House publicly announced the lawmakers’ switch from their previous party to their new one by reading their defection letters.

The PDP’s internal crises, which they claimed had prevented them from staying in the party, was one of the reasons they gave for leaving.

The Speaker greeted them warmly and asked other lawmakers to do the same, particularly APC members.
