Cristiano Ronaldo’s outstanding performance during Portugal’s 5-1 victory against Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Friday, November 15, has set yet another record.
With 132 victories, Ronaldo is currently the player with the most in international football.
With two goals and an assist, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star helped Portugal defeat Poland and earn a trip to the Nations League quarterfinals.
A Selecao also had goals from Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Rafael Leao of AC Milan, and Pedro Neto of Chelsea.
Ronaldo scored his 134th and 135th international goals while playing in his 215th game for his country, bringing his career total to 910.
With the victory over Poland, Ronaldo also became the player with the most victories in men’s international football, having now won 132 games with the Portugal national team.
Former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos, who played for Spain’s national team and contributed to 131 wins in international events, held the previous record.
Iker Casillas, a former Los Blancos player with 121 wins for La Roja, comes in third on the list.
