The Kwara-based University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) claims to have implemented a mechanism that allows unclaimed certificates to be collected via courier.
The university registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla, speaking on Monday, characterized the action as an upgrade to global best practices.
“The university formerly disallowed third-party collection, but this is a change from that policy. Interested parties must present the original statement of results, court affidavit, indemnification form, and valid international passport (for applicants in the diaspora) in order to collect their certificates.”
“Collection will be held at the university Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for individuals who would rather pick things up in person. It is anticipated that this development will provide convenience to university graduates and alumni, particularly those who live abroad,” he stated.
