Adewole Adebayo, a prominent figure in the Social Democratic Party (SDP), claims that President Bola Tinubu aims to avoid being listed in the black book of U.S. President Donald Trump, similar to ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

Adebayo gave an interview on Sunday on Channels Television’s ‘Hard Copy’, which ZINGTIE monitored.

He was responding to Tinubu’s actions following the U.S. designation of Nigeria as a country of particular concern.

“Tinubu has not secured the country properly. He’s not have time to supervise the Armed Forces correctly. He’s neither present in the country not in the lives of those in the field.

“Tinubu is not attending to his duties until the United States government through its President Donald Trump started making some comments about Nigeria, threatening to come into the country and rescue people.

“Why Tinubu is paying attention now is that he doesn’t want to be Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro,” Adebayo said.
