US Election: Atiku reveals lessons for Nigeria as Trump returns to White House

Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of Nigeria, has disclosed what Nigeria should take away from the recent US election.

According to ZINGTIE, former Republican President Donald Trump has defeated Democratic opponent Kamala Harris to become the next president of the United States.

Nigeria has lessons to learn before the next elections, said Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate.

According to him, “the lesson for us in Nigeria is the integrity of the process that ensures a credible outcome”.

He said it is the expectation of every Nigerian that the Trump administration would “stand resolute in ensuring free and fair elections in Nigeria and other places in the world”.

Atiku also extended his “warm congratulations to the people of the United States, whose unwavering faith in the power of democracy and the sanctity of the ballot has once again shown the world the true might of the people’s voice”.
