At least 10 US airstrikes targeted various areas in Yemen, including Saada province and Hodeidah, according to reports from Yemen’s Houthi media on Wednesday morning.
The strikes were directed at regions controlled by the Iran-aligned Houthis, who had announced last week that they were resuming attacks on Red Sea shipping in support of Palestinians in Gaza.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea stated that Houthi forces had detected hostile military movements in the Red Sea, suggesting preparations for a large-scale airstrike on Yemen.
Sarea further claimed that the Houthis targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and other warships with missiles and drones, successfully repelling the US attack.
