Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, has urged the unknown gunmen who are still lurking in the bush and causing insecurity in some areas of the state to come out, put down their weapons, and join society in making constructive contributions to the state’s development.
Additionally, he pledged that the government would support them in any venture they decide to pursue that would benefit both society and themselves.
At the funeral of Jenny Rachael Okonkwo, the deceased former Imo APC Woman leader of Orlu zone, who was killed in 2022 by alleged criminals who left her lifeless body in the forest, the governor made the appeal.
Speaking to a group of mourners at the late APC women leader’s rural house in Ogberuru, Orlu LGA, the governor denounced the circumstances surrounding the woman leader’s murder and insisted that the Party and the State had lost a treasure in her.
