After clips of the well-known Nigerian actor Zack Orji promoting plantain chips for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) appeared on social media, he was heavily criticized.

According to ZINGTIE, the actor recently flooded the streets of Mararaba, Abuja, with other well-known people and other influential people to support President Bola Tinubu.

In the video that went viral on social media, the actor and President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, are shown giving out food items, including plantain chips, while urging people to have faith in the Tinubu-led government.

But what really grabbed people’s attention was the picture of Orji giving out food, including chips, to the general public.

Many people in the Nigerian film industry were outraged by the contentious scene, which showed the actor sharing something as basic as plaintain chips in the midst of extreme hunger and adversity.

One user wrote: “I’m highly disappointed in most of these celebrities who are supposed to be our voices but they’re being used as a tool by the government. They’ve lost our respect big time!”

Another user wrote: “Very shameful of them. Apart from zack oji, what is the other guy name as shown in the picture?”

One user wrote: “Zack is an example of from grace to grass.”

One user wrote: “Person way act wickedness for movie you think say na fluke.”
