A Nigerian bride describes how, in order to get married in her church without any problems, she had to take off all of her accessories and makeup.
As a young Christian in the current era, the scene from her wedding day aptly illustrates the challenges of striking a balance between religious modesty and contemporary trends.
The bride, who is an active member of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), disclosed that she had to remove all of her makeup after taking wedding pictures with her husband wearing a full face of makeup.
Before she went to the church for the white wedding, she totally changed into a different appearance.
Wearing a white head scarf and removing all signs of her makeup and lashes, she transformed from the typical Instagram badass into a prayer warrior.
Putting her glitzy jewelry away and changing her appearance to one that more closely adheres to the strict ideals of the church.
