On Tuesday, an unfinished two-story structure in Ikorodu, Lagos State’s Ota-Ona neighborhood abruptly collapsed, causing chaos among the locals. Many people were suspected to be trapped beneath the rubble.
According to reports, the building is situated right across from the Mobil Filling Station, which was once known as the Bugon Filling Station.
At the time this article was filed, five victims were believed to have been retrieved alive; however, it is unclear how many people are still trapped.
Emergency teams are reportedly searching through the wreckage as part of ongoing rescue efforts.
The cause of the collapse has not yet been formally identified as of the time of publication.
