Famous Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy, has reconciled with Wizkid months after their public social media feud.
Their reunion was captured in a now-viral video and photos circulating on the internet.
The dispute between the two started a few months ago following Wizkid’s controversial comment that “hip hop is dead.”
In response, Ladipoe, an artist signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Record label, retaliated by tweeting, “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
A fan pointed out the tweet to Wizkid, who then replied, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.d’.”
Wizkid went on to retweet comments that seemed to suggest Don Jazzy was merely a social media influencer.
This situation sparked widespread online reactions, with many users criticizing Wizkid for disrespecting Don Jazzy, who is widely regarded as a music icon.
In response to the controversy, Don Jazzy unfollowed Wizkid on social media.
