A man identified as Obi Levi Obieze, widely known as Ezeani , has spoken out for the first time since his spectacular arrest triggered countrywide shock and curiosity.

Ezeani, who has been accused of ritual killings and attempting to flee across a land border, now asserts that he is the victim of a politically motivated plot connected to a long-standing royal conflict in his region.

A video that has gone viral shows the Enugu native being questioned by security guards after he was detained while reportedly attempting to leave the nation on a motorcycle.

According to authorities, his arrest came after a disturbing discovery: human remains were purportedly discovered in a soakaway pit inside his estate, which may indicate ritualistic involvement.

However, Ezeani maintains that the accusations are false and rejects the the name of “native doctor.” Speaking in the footage, he said, “It’s a political issue. It’s something politics. Fabrication against me because I will be next of king and some people in my village don’t want me to be that next of king.”

He further disassociated himself from the image of the native doctor by declaring: “I’m not a native doctor. I sell okrika, second-hand clothes. That is what I do for a living.”
