After being refused treatment at a hospital because she was unable to pay a ₦500,000 deposit, a pregnant woman in labor sadly died.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, a post about the tragic event went viral.

The pregnant woman is seen in the video traveling to the hospital in a car with her husband while she is still alive.

In the footage, her distraught husband could be heard frantically attempting to keep her aware.

He called her name over and over again, telling her to be strong for their kids.

“My goodness, Kemi, look at me. Stay strong, look at me. Think about your kids, please. You need to be very strong for me,” he pleaded.

The woman seemed weak, struggling to answer.

According to the video’s commentary, the couple had first visited a hospital, but the woman was turned away because they were unable to pay the ₦500,000 deposit.

She did not survive despite their best attempts, and they were sent to another hospital.
