In response to the current event involving Precious Mbakwe, UNIZIK’s Head of the Department of History and International Studies, Dr. Ikena Odife, has voiced his concerns about her mental health.

After a video of Precious Mbakwe brutally assaulting a lecturer who interrupted her video recording went viral, she attracted a lot of attention.

In reaction to the occurrence, the university administration has taken action, announcing the commencement of an investigation to uncover the facts surrounding the event.

In a recent statement to the university’s media, Dr. Odife characterized the episode as both alarming and inappropriate, highlighting the requirement for an inquiry into Mbakwe’s psychological health. Additionally, he promoted a thorough investigation into her upbringing, from early childhood until her time at university.

“This investigation should be holistic. There should be serious interrogation of the girls background beginning from childhood to present state as a university undergraduate”, He stated.
