“Instagram” and “Rolla Costa” were among the five songs the singer released while working with Marlian Records, which is owned by rapper Naira Marley.

Along with Zinoleesky and the late Mohbad, Fabian Blu worked with other artists on the label.

Fabian Blu recently attacked the label he was signed to from 2020 to 2022 in an interview on “WithChude.”

The singer claimed that his time there was like being in prison and characterized the atmosphere as “too gangster.”

He said that the management stifled his originality and made him compose songs that suited their aesthetic rather than his own.

Fabian Blu also claimed that upon his departure in 2022, Marlian Records refused to pay him royalties.

He charged the label with encouraging a culture of substance addiction, exploitation, and tribalism.

“I got introduced to drugs in Marlian Music. I got signed to the record label. I have never liked the whole Marlian music kind of lifestyle. They were too gangster,” he said.

“I have met a lot of Yoruba people as friends. But getting to that Marlian music, I met a different set of Yoruba people. There was tribalism in the record. It was chaotic and dysfunctional.

“I was not given the free will to express my creativity. All of my songs in Marlian Music were a result of they wanted it to sound that way. They have not given me my share of royalties ever since I have been with them.”

Additionally, he asserted that he was refused opportunities inside the label and subjected to prejudice because he was not Muslim.

“That place was like a prison to me. When Mohbad died. I was abused in Marlian music because I was not a Muslim I cannot get favours from them ,” he added.
