Victoria Ometere, a Nigerian woman studying in Canada, described her experience of having to return home.
The woman claimed that after learning of no sales, she went back to Nigeria to shut down her company.
The woman claimed in a TikTok video posted by @omezofficial that she felt launching the store was a poor investment because no one was coming in.
The woman, who sold wigs and hair products, was shocked to learn that her assistant had not been opening her business space.
She stated: “When I came into the store, the office and everywhere was filled with dust. Nobody was cleaning this place. Then she was like, ‘oh, you didn’t make arrangements for a cleaner.” Everywhere was messed up. Since i came to Nigeria, there was no day I opened this space that people do not come into it.”
In a different video, the woman interviewed neighbours who owned stores in the mall to corroborate her claims.
They questioned her decision to rent a space and then shut it down for several months.
Sharing what she learnt, the lady said: “People who work for you do not care about you. They’re all about their money and that’s it.”
