A man has described how a Nigerian living in Italy was arrested after buying a €400,000 house despite not having a permanent job.
In a TikTok video, the man described the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
He stated that the Nigerian man moved to Italy in 2016 but has only worked for eight months since then.
Despite his minimal career history, he was able to purchase a house, raising suspicions.
Following the transaction, officials arrested him and conducted an investigation. When questioned, he said the money was from his job.
However, while investigating his documents, the police determined that he had only been working for eight months since 2016.
Further investigations found that he was engaged in internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo.”
The narrator stated: “He arrived in Italy in 2016, and after checking his employment records, authorities found that he had only worked for eight months.”
“He was arrested after buying a house worth €400,000. During interrogation, he insisted the money came from his job, but further checks exposed his fraudulent activities.”
