Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has been characterized as a good servant leader by Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement.
According to Tanko, Obi’s leadership qualities are innate.
He revealed this while releasing footage of Obi feeding some of his close friends on his X Twitter.
The former presidential candidate was seen in the film having lunch with Tanko, Aisha Yesufu, and a few other people in a room.
Tanko wrote: “This is the hallmark of a good and servant leadership, one who serves the people even his staff. It is not for the show, it’s naturally inbuilt. “Obidients let stay focused. PO is coming. A New Nigeria is POssible.”
Obi was recently spotted serving meals at a charity function in Imo State.
Nigerians’ reactions to the incident were mixed; some were outraged.
In response to the outcry over the widely shared video of him serving food, Obi stated that it was done for humanitarian reasons rather than as part of a political tactic.
True leadership, according to Obi, must be based on service to others and humility.
The former presidential candidate expressed regret that paid agents turned a sincere action into a political one.
He urged Nigerians to adopt a culture of constant kindness instead than performance altruism.
