By installing a covert camera at her desk, a Nigerian point-of-sale agent who had been dealing with unexplained cash losses for months was able to identify the culprit—her colleague.
A post on the well-known social media site X (previously Twitter) revealed the discovery.
The agent’s colleague is seen removing money from the drawer containing the POS funds in the video.
The victim disclosed that she had been observing inexplicable decreases in her POS cash for a number of months, according to the article.
She chose to covertly mount her phone’s camera on top of the counter to keep an eye on the area out of suspicion of foul activity.
The video’s description said: “My colleague always goes to my drawer to steal our POS money, so I decided to mount my phone camera on the counter—and I got her.”
“She has been stealing for months now and we didn’t know.”
