With reports of a protester being shot in the early hours of Thursday, things have become worse in Borno State.
According to ZINGTIE, protesters on August 1 took to the streets around the nation to voice their displeasure with the state of the economy.
A correspondent at the Maiduguri, Borno State protest site provided the TV host with a situation report in a video that News Central posted on X.
The finding of a protester who had been shot dead broke up the moment, as there had been earlier reports of gunfire.
“People are protesting now in Maiduguri, Borno State capital and we’ve heard the sound of gunshots or is it something like that… This is the situation.
“We will get to the attack… One person is down!”, the correspondent shared.
The correspondent, dodging gunfire from errant shots, said in the affirmative when asked if the development was related to the protest.
The TV host enquired, “Are they shooting at people?” The correspondent responded, “Yes.”
