A purported assassination attempt on Nigerian musician Speed Darlington was barely avoided.
The event happened just one week after he was released from extended confinement at Kuje jail.
The artist described how unidentified shooters shot his car many times, seriously damaging it, in a social media video that went viral.
On Monday morning, he posted a video on his Instagram page that revealed bullet holes in the back of his vehicle.
Darlington, who claimed that an unidentified “long face” was attempting to murder him, expressed concern for his safety but clarified that the event happened early on Monday morning while he was exiting a bar in Lagos State’s VI neighborhood.
While expressing concern for his safety, Darlington, who accused an unnamed “long face” of trying to kill him, explained that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday as he was leaving a club in the VI area of Lagos State.
“Long face sent killers my way, and I have not even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?,” he said.
