The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has declared that she will become the state’s next governor.

Ogala, who is also a Nollywood actress, made the statement during a live session on TikTok, a video that went viral on Sunday and attracted mixed reactions from supporters and critics.

According to the AAC governorship flagbearer, her emergence as the next governor is already certain and beyond question.

She said, “I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have a choice. Doris will be your governor, you don’t have a choice. God has said it, so shall it be. It is very simple, why don’t you get that?”

Her remarks have since sparked widespread discussions across various social media platforms, with users expressing differing opinions over her confidence ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Ogala secured the AAC governorship ticket during the party’s primary election and has declared her intention to challenge the incumbent administration in Abia State.

Following her emergence as the party’s candidate, she pledged to prioritise the welfare of residents if elected, promising to create jobs, attract investments and introduce policies aimed at boosting economic activities across the state.
