A blog on X (previously Twitter) stated that Nyesom Wike, the current minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), had been jailed in the United States.

The poster, ‘Celebrity Blogger’, said that Wike was arrested at a US airport and ‘transferred to Washington D.C. prison over the 2023 presidential election felony’.
