Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde chastised Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday for his promise that the party would conquer the South-West.

When Ganduje stated that Oyo and Osun states will be the next APC states, Makinde claimed he was preoccupied.

Ondo State had been won by the APC, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa was still in office as governor.

Ganduje stated that the APC would win every state in the South-West following Aiyedatiwa’s victory, emphasising that Osun and Oyo States would be the next to follow.

The Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, as well as the residents of Oyo and Osun, are waiting to reject the APC, according to Makinde.

At the Stadium Roundabout/Oke Baale Roundabout/Ilesa Garage Roundabout dual carriageway’s commissioning in Osogbo, Osun State, Makinde gave a speech.

“The people of Osun state must come first, and they have been put first. Two years ago, (2022) they made a political choice. They moved from one political party to the PDP.

“Then someone, I believe, got a bit distracted after the Edo and Ondo elections and said they are coming for Osun and Oyo. People, are you not waiting for them? You will show them.”
