What Buhari told me when I asked him to reveal his desired successor – El-rufai

Malam Nasir El-rufai, the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, claims that in the 2023 presidential election, outgoing president Muhammadu Buhari had no favorite to follow him.

El-rufai spoke during his appearance on the Arise TV program on Monday night.

The former governor claims that Buhari requested delegates to vote their conscience before the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.

He said, “I met the delegates in Kaduna State and they said they will vote for Tinubu, someone who has what it takes to win the election.

“I told them that they should wait let me meet the president and ask him who he wants.

“By the time I met Buhari, he said I should tell the delegates to vote their conscience. I returned to them and told them to vote for their conscience”.
