Due to extensive military operations in Katsina State’s Batsari, Safana, and Jibia Local Government territories, about five infamous bandit kingpins who had been terrorizing the territories have surrendered and lay down their weapons.

Abu Radda, Umar Black, Abdullahi Lankai, Jijjige, and Dabar Musa Dan Gandu were among the bandit leaders who operated from the axis, according to reliable information obtained by ZINGTIE.

The armed groups willingly disarmed, according to information acquired from a counter-insurgency publication centered on the Lake Chad region.

This medium also discovered that, in order to facilitate their reintegration, they requested the government to build marketplaces, hospitals, and access to clean water as well as other alternative sources of income during their surrender.

The National Community for Security and Societal Advancement in Katsina State (NCSOSACK), under the leadership of Comrade Hamisa S. Batsari, who speaks for impacted communities in security discussions, assisted their decision, ZINGTIE learned.

The bandits freed a number of captives they had taken throughout their terror campaign and turned up weapons and ammunition to the soldiers.

They promised to stop engaging in illegal activity and to embrace peace.

The attack against unrepentant bandits will not stop until complete peace is restored in Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, and the entire North West, according to top military sources, who praised their capitulation.
