The All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State chapter, led by MacDonald Ebere, has congratulated Nentawe Yilwatda on his appointment as the party’s new National Chairman.
Ebere said the appointment was both necessary and timely to reposition the party for deeper grassroots consolidation and institutional renewal, calling Yilwatda a strategic leader and seasoned technocrat with whom he has had a long and productive working relationship.
He pointed out that Yilwatda’s enduring dedication to party principles and creativity will act as a unifying factor for all of its members.
Shortly after the APC National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting, the APC State chairman gave reporters access to a statement through his personal media assistant, Julian Chijioke, in which he expressed his sincere gratitude to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for leading the party through what he described as a smooth transition and guaranteeing party leadership stability, particularly at the national level.
In addition, he praised Hope Uzodinma, the governor of the state and chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, for his steadfast devotion to the party and the crucial part he and his other governors played in fostering Yilwatda’s rise via cooperation and unity of purpose.
Ebere argued that the appointment of the new National Chairman is evidence of Governor Uzodinma’s ability to establish bridges both inside and outside of the Southeast.
Using the occasion, the APC state chairman also praised all APC members at the federal, state, and local levels for their steadfast support, tenacity, and unwavering dedication to the party’s principles and goals.
As the party pursues a more targeted course to realign the nation for democratic and economic progress, he urged them to stay firm and devoted.
“As we march into the future, particularly towards the 2027 general elections, I want to reassure Nigerians that the APC, under the leadership of President Tinubu and our new National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will continue to fulfill its promises to the people,” he stated.
