Why I can’t be Super Eagles head coach – Siasia

Samson Siasia, a former Nigeria international, has denied applying for the vacant position of head coach with the Super Eagles.

He noted that his FIFA suspension prevents him from being considered for the position in an interview with Complete Sports.

After being found guilty of accepting bribes to change the outcome of matches, Siasia was banned.

However, he can only operate in the sports sector once the five-year ban expires in August 2024.

“I did not apply for the Super Eagles coaching job because I know FIFA has yet to lift the suspension on me.

“I don’t know where those who reported that I applied got their story from.

“It’s common sense, I cannot be suspended and be applying for a job.

“I know I would not even be considered for it,” the silver medal-winning coach with Nigeria’s Olympic team at the Beijing Olympics told Completesports.com.
