Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, known globally as Burna Boy, has shared why he holds black women in high regard.

He explained that his deep appreciation stems from seeing black women as a reflection of himself.

The ‘African Giant’ hitmaker made this known during a recent interview with Cocoa Butter in Atlanta, Georgia.

The interviewer asked: “What is your favourite thing about black women?”

Burna Boy replied: “First of all, it’s the fact that they are an extension of me. I must always love myself, so I must love my black women.”

Burna Boy has previously celebrated black women in several of his songs, including ‘Onyeka,’ ‘Omo,’ and ‘On The Low.’
