Why I’m not close with my first daughter – Seun Kuti

Seun Kuti, a famous musician from Nigeria, has disclosed the reason behind his distance from his first daughter.

The musician revealed this information when talking about his experience becoming a father.

In a widely shared video clip from his conversation with well-known media personality Timi Agbaje, Seun revealed that he was previously married to another woman named Yetunde.

Although he said that being a parent was one of his greatest accomplishments, he acknowledged that he did not have a close relationship with his first child because of her mother.

“The greatest thing I ever achieved is becoming a father, I have two kids but I’m not really close to my other daughter but to have the joy of that is my greatest achievement.

“It’s complicated circumstances. No family is perfect, but I’m not close to the mother of my first daughter.

“I wasn’t married when I had my first daughter. Interestingly, I only had premarital sex twice before my first daughter was born.”
