The organisers of the state’s traditional boxing competition have received a severe warning from the Zamfara State HISBAH Commission to immediately cancel their plans.
Mal. Umar Hassan Gusau, the chairman of the Commission, said this in Gusau, the capital of the state.
He declared that the suspension will be until further notice.
In a statement made and shared to reporters, the chairman issued the warning and stated that security was the primary consideration in light of the state government’s decision to proceed with the boxing activity.
Mallam Gusau also issued a warning, stating that consequences would follow anyone who ignored the order to halt the action.
Additionally, he issued a warning to the populace to treat the message seriously.
