Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has revealed plans to mark President Tinubu’s second year in office with the inauguration of several projects.
The minister shared this information on Saturday evening after inspecting the ongoing construction of a 30.4-kilometre road from the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway to Gomani in the Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, Wike mentioned that he would soon announce the details of the projects scheduled for inauguration.
“That is why I insisted that we will only give out jobs to contractors who show capacity and not based on sentiment.
“I am happy that the communities are happy. You can see how they came out in numbers to celebrate the progress of work so far,” Wike stated.
Reports indicate that President Bola Tinubu, who took office on May 29, 2023, will be celebrating his second anniversary on May 29, 2025.
