The Super Eagles’ preparation for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter against Rwanda in Kigali has pleased Nigerian Afrobeats musician Wizkid.

According to the DAILY POST, the Super Eagles’ first training session with new head coach Eric Chelle took place on Tuesday afternoon.

Wizkid responded on Wednesday by expressing his support for the new Super Eagles squad under Chelle via his X Twitter.

“New Super Eagles team! [I] love the energy ,” he tweeted.

The Amahoro Stadium in Rwanda will host the World Cup qualifying match on Friday, March 21 at 5:00 PM Nigerian time.

Nigeria will host Zimbabwe in Uyo on Tuesday following the match.

To maintain their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup, the Super Eagles must earn every point possible from both games.
