After learning that her husband had gotten pregnant by someone else, a woman allegedly killed him while he was asleep, resulting in a horrifying domestic tragedy.

The couple, who had three young children, had just returned from a trip to Dubai.

According to preliminary police investigations, the wife, whose name is being suppressed pending official charges, apparently drugged her husband and waited until he was unconscious.

She then allegedly strangled and bludgeoned him to death in a premeditated act of revenge.

The woman had just found out about her husband’s adultery and the ensuing pregnancy, according to people familiar with the investigation.

She is thought to have allowed her feelings to rule her and ended up taking a lethal route rather than facing him.

“She didn’t think of the eight years of marriage. She didn’t think of their children. She only thought of the betrayal,” said one law enforcement official familiar with the case.

Neighbors and acquaintances characterized the family as quiet and obviously happy. It’s inconceivable. A neighbor said incredulously, “They seemed to have it all together.”

The woman is being evaluated psychiatrically while in police custody. The public has been reassured by authorities that the children are in the care of family members and are safe.
