According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and President of the Dangote Group, is now worth $30.2 billion.
According to Bloomberg’s newest data, Dangote is the 75th richest person in the world.
Dangote has the majority stake in Dangote Cement Plc, the largest cement producer in Sub-Saharan Africa, which is listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
He also controls the Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refining plant.
Dangote Oil Refinery, which opened on May 22, 2023, is worth $20 billion and remains his most valuable asset. Dangote owns 92.3% of the refinery, while the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL holds 7.3%.
The Ibeju-Lekki facility is a major contributor to Dangote’s recent surge in net worth.
