The victim’s mother complained to the Ojodu Division, according to the police, that she went to the church for a service and that the defendant was staring at her as the victim went to the restroom to urinate. When she was finished, the aforementioned Ayomide accompanied her to the restroom.
He put her on his lap after taking down her pants and his pants. He rubbed her vagina with his penis cap while sitting on the toilet seat, then spat sperm into his laps.
After that, the police detained him and moved him to the State Command’s Gender Section for additional inquiry and prosecution.

The charge read: “That you, Ayomide Oluyori ‘m’, on the 26th day of October 2025, at the Redeemed Christian Church, Solid Rock Parish, Ojodu, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim ‘f 5years old by having unlawful canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, after Mr. Lucky Ihiehie, the prosecutor, filed a motion requesting that the Court set a date and refer the case to the DPP for legal counsel, the Court declined to accept his plea.
The prosecutor was instructed to duplicate the case and send it to the DPP for advice, and the presiding magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in the correctional facility in Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.
In order to obtain the report of the DPP’s recommendation, which will decide whether or not the case will be referred to the High Court over jurisdiction, the subject was postponed for mention.
