When Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a veteran Nollywood actress, talked about having emergency surgery late last year, she said that the procedure had an impact on her stomach, one of her favorite body parts.
In an emotional Valentine’s Day post on social media, Omotola urged people to embrace their flaws and have faith in themselves. She recalled a time during a photo shoot when she immediately reached for her top and then paused after hearing a tiny voice remark, “There’s nothing to show anymore.”
But the celebrated actress brushed the idea off right away, stating that nothing could make her doubt her confidence. “I smiled and danced. I’m alive … it’s just scars,”she wrote.
Omotola emphasized to followers that one’s value should never be determined by their emotional or physical scars. Everybody should embrace their path, celebrate their resiliency, and acknowledge their beauty, she advised.
“What if I’m not perfect? Would you still love me?”she asked, leaving her followers with a powerful message of self-acceptance and confidence.”
